Even before we discovered that Dele Alli would miss this match, I thought Tottenham would find it tough to beat Liverpool. They will find it even harder to win without their influential midfielder. We talk of Harry Kane’s importance to this Spurs team but Alli is just as vital.

Since his debut in 2015 he has missed just eight Premier League games for Tottenham, highlighting his importance to manager Mauricio Pochettino. Spurs have never lost when Alli scores and in those matches where he has been absent, Spurs have won just once.

His partnership with Kane has been crucial in establishing Tottenham as a top-four side. Since the start of last season, between them the pair created 32 chances for each other. There have been questions about the English players’ workloads after a long World Cup campaign. It looked like Alli had a hamstring issue in the summer and I hope this is not a recurrence of that problem.

Sadio Mane is playing like a man on a mission to overhaul Mo Salah as top dog at Liverpool.

And guess who said that? No, it wasn’t some scholar or one of those life coaches, it was none other than Matt Damon. JOURNEY OF LIFE

Life is like a journey on a train…with its stations…with changes of routes…and with accidents!

 

At birth, we boarded the train and met our parents, and we believe they will always travel on our side.

However, at some station our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on this journey alone.

 

As time goes by, other people will board the train; and they will be significant I.e.Our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of our life.

Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum. Others will go so unnoticed that we don’t realize that they vacated their seats!

BIRTHDAYS!

Day Of Birth? Is it Worth Celebrating

It's normal.  Our culture instills in us that a birthday is a day that we celebrate ourselves for being on the planet, for existing.  People close to us are supposed to give us cards, flowers, presents and parties.

How many people keep their birthdays a secret because they don't want to take the risk of people not responding with love and celebration?  This is why so many are sad around the holidays.  Our culture states that it's a time of joy and peace.  If it doesn't look like joy and peace we feel cheated and sad.  

You don't have to accept this load that society places on us.  Any given day that we are alive and well is cause for celebration.  If you need to be honored on your birthday then let the folks around you know.  You are allowed to ask for and receive attention on your birthday.  Ask your boss for the day off.  Tell your loved ones you need a party.  If you have no loved ones then you can brag to strangers that it's your birthday.  You will be surprised at the attention you receive this way. 

We all need to care enough about ourselves to ask others to celebrate our lives and to celebrate the lives of others, birthday or not.

THE POWER OF WORDS

Two girls got on a bus and they started talking to each other.
“Did you hear that Sarah got engaged yesterday?”
“No, I never knew that!”
“That’s amazing that Sarah got engaged!!”
“But she is so sloppy and unorganized! How is she going to run a household?”
“She is never on time. Also, she cooked for us once and her food was terrible! Her new husband is going to starve!!”
“She spends money faster than she receives it. How will she get through the month?”

So it went, on and on and on. Behind the two girls was another lady who suddenly spoke up.
“I am sorry to interrupt you girls but I wanted to introduce myself. My son just got engaged to Sarah. Now that I know this information, I will tell my son everything that you said about Sarah and he must break off the engagement immediately. I will also tell all my friends how grateful I am to you girls for letting me know what Sarah is really like”.
The girls were shocked. They started to stutter and struggled to find the right words.
“No, No” they said with trepidation. Please do not let your son break the engagement.”
“Sarah is wonderful! She will make a great mother! She really will!”
“She is so warm, friendly and caring”.
“We were just talking. We never meant her any harm”. “Please don’t break the engagement” they pleaded.
However, the woman was adamant.
“Thank you, but based on what you said, I will make every effort to break it up as soon as possible. The girl you described sounds like a terrible person. I will inform my son immediately.”
